Fairly high originality of ideas wanted. I reserve the right to decline. Thanks.
I'll take your sketches and develop them. But any other arrangement would be fine, too. I imagine passing a drawing back and forth several times would be a lot of fun.
-Friends, also meaning active
(I will probably in the future trade ACEOs in person, at cons and such, but doing new work for that purpose or other logistics are not appealing. Sorry)
For points, I animate gif icons: starting at the equivalent of $1 and going up for complexity. Need an icon/avatar for another site bigger than the DA ones? I'll do that, too. Examples in the next module.
My one starting point rule about commissions of any type is: I'm not going to break any copyright. So no paying me for rendering franchises' or other peoples' characters without permission. Yes, even icons. Sorry.
You'll have to catch a Request for that.
The only exception to this so far is Undertale, because Toby Fox himself has said that he's allowing fanart to be sold. undertale.tumblr.com/post/1397…
If you can bring me proof like that for whatever other series you want me to draw, all right then. Maybe I'll learn of some other indie artists or little-known fandoms.
Fan Characters of established series are acceptable for commissions, I suppose, if they differ enough from the source material. You might also want to note this dA rule: FAQ #743: Can I sell fan art as prints?
And look into copyright law. Though, as any Comic Con will show you, they usually don't go after people doing that in person. So go ahead. I'm not judging or anything. Just abstaining myself. But I do expect you to follow this site's ToS, since they've worked so hard in providing so much to you. There are other sites that allow that.
I do traditional art, clay sculpture, and am making forays into digital art. The reason you won't see much all-digital art in my Gallery is that I do not have my own tablet, so I have to borrow one. I occasionally draw and color with a laptop track pad or mouse, but it is tedious.
Please be aware that if you want a physical
copy of traditional art mailed to you, let me know upfront so I can use higher quality paper and materials, and we can negotiate about matting and postage, etc.
I have very specific commission guidelines for sexual or violent content, as well as drugs. Available upon request. I don't want that on my front page.
Note me to set up another commission module for whatever your heart desires.
This would be especially appreciated for small commissions. I actually would take pride in dA taking its fair cut of commissions for larger transactions, seeing as they make my speaking to you right now possible, and in such colorful and well-organized ways. (I wish they would bring back the gear shop so I could buy from them, too.)
